Reflect
The psalm is not set in a perfectly quiet world. It speaks of upheaval and conflict, then names God as refuge. Stillness begins with remembering who God is in the middle of that world.
You do not have to arrange a flawless devotional moment. Read the verse where you are. Notice how much of your attention is occupied by what you cannot control. Then allow the passage to direct that attention toward God.
This pause need not remove every concern to matter. It may simply help you approach the next conversation with more patience, or your next responsibility with less frantic urgency.
Pray
God, help me remember that you are greater than the demands of this moment. Settle my attention on you, and teach me to meet the next person with care. Amen.
