Privacy Policy

How BibleVerseWidget.com handles website visits, search, and support messages, with information about your choices and the app’s privacy disclosure.

Effective date: September 10, 2026 · Last updated: September 10, 2026

Our approach to privacy

BibleVerseWidget.com is a Scripture and devotional website. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Bible Verse Widget. You can read our articles without creating an account or providing an email address. For privacy questions or requests, write to love@bibleversewidget.com.

This policy covers this website and messages sent to our support address. The iPhone app is a separate service; see App privacy below for the distinction between the app, this website, and Apple’s services.

Information processed when you visit

Your browser sends technical information to our hosting server so it can deliver the page you request. Server logs can include your IP address, request date and time, requested URL and query string, response status, browser information, and the referring page when your browser supplies it. We use these records to operate the website, investigate errors, and protect it from abuse.

The website does not have user accounts, comments, a checkout, or a newsletter signup. It does not ask for your name, location, payment details, or religious beliefs to let you read content. We do not build advertising profiles from the passages or topics you read.

Search, cookies, and device storage

Article search runs in your browser using an index downloaded from this website. We do not send searches to an external search provider. Your search appears in the page URL, so it may remain in your browser history and can appear in server logs if you open, share, or reload that URL. Avoid putting personal or sensitive information in a search.

This website does not set cookies or use advertising pixels, third-party analytics, or local storage to track visitors. Fonts, images, and search files are served from our own domain. Your browser may cache these files as part of normal browsing. The daily verse is selected in your browser; using the copy button writes the displayed verse to your clipboard at your request.

When you email support

We receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, such as your name, device details, screenshots, or a description of a problem. Our email service processes the message to deliver and store it. We use the information to answer your request, investigate the reported issue, and keep a record of the conversation where needed for follow-up.

Contacting us is optional, although we need a reply address and enough information to help. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, full payment details, or private health or religious information. Remove unrelated personal information from screenshots. We do not add support correspondents to a marketing list.

Service providers and disclosure

Hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose relevant information when legally required, to respond to a valid legal request, or when necessary to investigate abuse or protect the website and its users. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Internet and email services may process information outside your country of residence. If you need information about the providers or processing locations relevant to a particular request, contact us at love@bibleversewidget.com.

How long information is kept

Our web server is configured to rotate logs daily and retain 14 rotated log files alongside the active log. This normally represents approximately two weeks of routine logs; periods with no log entries may affect rotation. Records needed to investigate a specific security incident or meet a legal obligation may be retained for that purpose.

Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the request, manage related follow-up, and meet any applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can ask us to delete a conversation. Any information that must be retained for an outstanding dispute or legal obligation may be kept until that need ends.

Your choices and rights

You can browse without contacting us, clear your browser history and cached files, and decide what information to include in an email. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure website and answering inquiries, and on legal obligations where a particular record must be retained. We do not use website data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

To make a request, email love@bibleversewidget.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. Describe the information or conversation involved. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request is yours; please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed. We respond within the period required by applicable law.

App privacy

Bible Verse Widget & Scripture is available through Apple’s App Store. As checked on September 10, 2026, its App Store privacy disclosure states “Data Not Collected.” This is a developer-reported disclosure, which Apple says it has not verified. It describes the app’s reported practices, not the website’s server logs or information you voluntarily send to support.

This website policy does not describe unverified app permissions, third-party software, or device backup behavior. For a question about a particular app feature or its data handling, email love@bibleversewidget.com before sharing sensitive information. Apple separately processes information for the App Store, purchases, and device services under Apple’s privacy policy. This website does not receive your Apple Account password or full payment card information.

Children and privacy

Reading this website does not require registration or submission of personal information. Parents and guardians should help children avoid sending private information by email. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address it, including deletion where appropriate.

Security and policy updates

The website uses HTTPS to encrypt information in transit. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the website or its practices change; the date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be described on this page, with any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.
